The Sun Lakes Fire District provides fire and emergency medical service and transportation to a 6.75 square mile area, primarily the Sun Lakes retirement community. We are  bordered by the city of Chandler to the north and east, and the Gila River Indian community to the west and south.  Department staffing consists of an on-duty Battalion Chief, and each fire station has one fire engine staffed with five personnel,  and one ambulance staffed with two personnel.
